Unknown Italian Card Board Record

I received two scans of a two-sided cardboard record from Franco Malatesta from Italy. The record is made of ( Durium-like) card board and both sides are well illustrated. It's a flexible picture disc. The groove is printed into the surface - the drawings are on the entire surface ( incl. the groove). There seems to be no label ( or the label might be the entire record).
Franco writes: This is the A side: "Faccetta Nera". For both recordings I don't know who the singer is, and even the band that plays. The matrix number is visible: for this is C 8652 (stamped as typing machine)
The woman, framed behind the banjo player, seems to me Josephine Baker and the banjo player looks like a vaudeville artist with blacked face. Enrico Borsetti told me that he has a record in his collection with the same picture on the A-side, but different songs. That could indicate that this entire side is the label. The "white" surface looks ( on the scan) like "Rhodoid", the stuff Goodson Records were made of. ( Hans Koert)
On this one, Franco continues, the matrix number is hand written: 6525.
The other information is that the ink stamp says: " Fox Trott OCCHIONI BLU - Canzone Cantata - Savini Zerboni - side" (translated as "Fox Trot BIG BLUE EYES - vocal song - Savini Zerboni side").
This side of the record the colour of the card board surface, looks like the card board Durium used, but Durium only used drawings or pictures in black on its reverse and never colourfull ones and never recorded on both sides ( there is only one exception known). Durium records always had a label and not, like this one, a picture printed through the groove. These ranges of matrices are not used by Durium or DVRIVM La Voce dell 'Impero. The songs on the record are, Enrico confirms, from the early 1930s. Franco indicates that these tunes were fascist songs. Italian Durium records were also used ( or better misused), for that.
It seems logically that this record was not a 1930s Durium card board record, but what Italian record company made this kind of double sided card board records?

PORI JAZZ 2008
On the 19th of July 2008 the Ronnie Cuber Band, with special guest Kenny Drew jr. will be in concert at the Porin teatteri in Pori ( Finland). The 43rd International Pori Jazz Festival will be arranged from the 12th up to the 20th July 2008. On that same date some more great concerts have been scedulded like Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas as part of the San Francisco Jazz Collective. And what to think about the Yamandu Costa Trio the next day? Choro at its best !! Other interesting names are bass player Esperanza Spalding. Her music interests me and I love to hear her music. And .....of course I'm proud to read that our own Tineke Postma is playing with her Quartet for the 17th of July too. A great festival with a lot of surpising bands I'm sure. I'd loved to be there !! The matrix number is visible: for this is C 8652 (stamped as typing machine) ( = Het matrixnummer is zichtbaar: voor deze kant is het C 8652 ( in het oppervlak gedrukt als met typemachineletters)).
De vrouw, afgebeeld in het lijstje achter de banjospeler, is volgens mij Josephine Baker en de banjospeler lijkt op een (blanke) vaudeville artiest met zwartgemaakt gezicht. Enrico Borsetti mailde me dat hij ook zo'n plaat in zijn verzameling heeft, maar dan met andere nummers. Je kan hieruit voorzichtig concluderen dat de banjoist en lijstje samen het beeldmerk van het label vormen. Op de scan lijkt de "cremeachtige" kleur op het eerste gezicht wat op Rhodoid, de witte kunststof waarvan Goodson platen gemaakt werden. ( Hans Koert)

De kleur van deze kant van de kartonnen plaat lijkt op die van de blanco achterkant van een reguliere Duriumplaat. Durium gebruikte soms foto's of tekeningen op de blanco achterkant, maar altijd in zwart afgedrukt. Durium platen waren ook altijd maar aan één kant bespeelbaar ( er is maar één uitzondering bekend). Duriumplaten hadden altijd een label en de tekst was nooit door de groef heen gedrukt. De matrixnummers werden nooit gebruikt door Durium of DVRIVM La Voce dell 'Impero, zoals toen gemaakt in Italië. De nummers op de plaat zijn, bevestigd Enrico, gemaakt begin jaren dertig. Franco geeft aan dat de nummers fascistische propaganda liedjes zijn, iets waar het Italiaanse Durium in die tijd ook voor ge-( lees mis-)bruikt werd.
Het lijkt me aannemelijk dat deze plaat geen kartonnen Duriumplaat is, maar wat dan wel? Welke Italiaanse platenmaatschappij gaf deze dubbelzijdig afspeelbare kartonnen platen uit en hoe heetten ze?

Op 19 juli 2008 treedt de Ronnie Cuber Band op met Kenny Drew jr. als speciale gast, in het Porin teatteri in Pori ( Finland). Het 43ste International Pori Jazz Festival wordt georganiseerd van 12 tot en met 20 juli 2008. Op diezelfde datum, overigens, staan ook Joe Lovano en Dave Douglas gepland als onderdeel van het San Francisco Jazz Collective. En wat te denken van Yamandu Costa en zijn Trio? Braziliaanse choro op zijn best !1Andere interessante namen op het festival zijn bassiste Esperanza Spalding. Haar muziek zou ik wel eens willen horen. Vanzelfsprkend ben ik ook apetrost op het feit dat Tineke Postma met haar Quartet op het festival optreedt. Deze talentvolle Nederlandse saxofoniste speelt op de 17de juli. Een schitterend festival lijkt me waarop een heleboel mooist te horen is. Ik wou dat ik er heen kon!! Je vindt alle informatie over dit festival op hun informatieve website.
