Hemmelighedsfuld uformel møder

( To the English translation)

Tillykke Jo.

English ( Hen til den Dansk gengivelse )

Sometimes ago i pointed you to the discovery of some private tapes, probably made by the now long forgotten legendary pioneer of Danish guitar playing, Jo Ergen. From informed circles I learned that Jo Ergen, who seems to live somewhere isolated in the southeast hills of Denmark with his family has touched his instrument again, between cutting the hedge or cleaning the kitchen, he started playing his instrument again. Up to now these small moments of exercise were rather harmless, except maybe for his close relatives, but since a week a rather exceptional photo circulates among collectors on obscure web logs where you can see how he takes up his instrument and, as it seems, wants to strike the photographer. But that's not the worst ..... There were some persistent rumours that he has gathered a group of musicians somewhere in a remote Danish pub. A rare picture I received from my informer seems to prove that. This informer told me that the other musician on the picture, who are still anonymous seem to be inhabitants from Brazil, Sweden, Holland and Denmark, but, as I told you before, this is not confirmed. If bootleg recordings appear I will, of course, share these with you.

Congratulations, Jo.

Keep practicing

Kære Hans,

Mange tak for denne usædvanlige hilsen, der afslører min hemmelige last.

Dear Hans,

Thanks a lot for this unusual greeting which reveals my secret passion. However, I am best at 'air-guitar', just ask remaining people at the picture! The problem with having a guitar in house is that you have to make believe that you are able to use it properbly and actually can play it! I think I'll hang on to 'air-guitar', the world is full of genuine guitarplayers, who actually can play the instrument, thus, I don't think there is a space for me, too, in their ranks. Anyway, thanks again for the magnificent collage, which touches something inside me, although I'm getting older than yesterday.

Dear Joergen,

Congratulations old boy !
Take a Tuborg at your own expenses.
Mind that you're still pretty young compared to us !
Have a nice, sunny (?) day with your relatives !!

Thanks for your commend in English. I have decided some minutes ago, that I will never communicate any more in Danish or other Viking languages as they sound Chinese to me. My translation program Danish - English and Danish - Dutch had the same opinion !!

Keep swinging
