A Nostalgic Trip

Some time ago Hans had an entry at this blog regarding The Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, headlining a recorded concert by this great retro-band in Breda 1978.

As a small follow-up to Hans' feature on the 1978 performance I was delighted to listen to the recording of the concert (- thanks a lot for the copy, Hans) and was moreover happy to discover a couple of video clips from a TV performance by the OPSO on YouTube.

You are invited to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the OPSO and toastmaster/singer Ondrej Havelka (see picture) following the links below.

Enjoy The Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra 1993 performing "Squeeze Me", click here

Enjoy also a version of "Freshmen's Hop", click here

If you felt like dancing watching these two clips, why don't you get up and get started?

A perfect way to start your exercise is doing "The Soft Shoue Shuffle", instruction to be
found
here

Sadly, YouTube has removed these clips during their recent housecleaning of any material whose rights are questionable. This has, of course, been quite a blow to vintage pop culture fans.

I only wish I was here before Youtube banned the videos, I was particularly interested in the song, "Squeeze me" as I have not yet heard the full version played by the OPSO, has anybody out there got the recording?
